California Mandated Coursework for Out-of-State Applicants

The NASW-CA EmpowerED Program is excited to offer the mandated coursework required for LCSW, LMFT and LPCC licensure in California for Out-of-State Applicants! Below is the coursework for out-of-state applicants who meet either Path A (All 3 Licenses) or Path B (LCSWs only) of the licensure process. To learn more about Path A and B, please click here.

ASWs who obtained their MSW degree from a CSWE accredited school of social work in the state of California have most likely completed these requirements within their MSW program. Visit the BBS website to confirm if your program met the BBS mandated coursework.
